Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is once again insisting he had an affair with Britney Spears.
Britney has never admitted to a relationship with the rocker - and angered Durst by saying it was all one-sided on his behalf.
But Durst - who at the time in 2003 said he had "never felt this way" about anyone before - is once again talking about the claimed relationship.
"I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar," he insisted
"It just became a fiasco of madness."
Durst believes that her denials were in part linked to the troubles that soon became all too obvious with her public meltdown.
"I look back on it as very interesting [in terms of] how things have been sort of unraveling for her since," he says.
"[But] it is what it is. I can sleep at night knowing I made decisions that I wanted to make. [Still] I'm a supporter. I was then, I guess I am now."
He also believes she did not want to admit everything because they appealed t such different markets.
"I just guess at the time it was taboo for a guy like me to be associated with a gal like her," he added.

A lawyer claiming to represent Britney Spears has been chastised by a Los Angeles judge for challenging the conservatorship over the pop star with an appeal.
In an unscheduled hearing requested by Spears's conservators, Commissioner Reva Goetz told attorney Jon Eardley she will not be making any changes in the lawyers she appointed to look after the affairs of the pop star and her estate.
"I don't think it's any secret that Ms. Spears' improvement in the last year has been remarkable," said Goetz. The commissioner credited the turnaround to what she called the "superhuman" efforts of the current permanent conservators and Spears' lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III.
Ingham said: "She [Spears] has expressly repudiated Mr Eardley's involvement. She has stated he is not authorized to act on her behalf."

Britney Spears and her "Circus" tour landed in New York last night. She performed at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island and in the crowd was none other than the "Material Girl" herself, Madonna.
"She purposely walked up the main stairs in front of everybody so they would all notice her," an insider told Usmagazine.com. "Celebrities definitely don't need to go up the main stairs to get to their suites."

Britney looked every inch the comeback queen yesterday as she soaked up the Miami sunshine with her two young sons.
The tanned and toned, the Womanizer singer sizzled in a skimpy turquoise bikini poolside, with her trademark sunglasses and big earrings.
Splashing around in the water with Sean Preston and Jayden James, Britney proved she's one yummy mommy by showing off her newly trimmed physique during a short break in her "Circus" tour.
She was spotted sunbathing and playing around with her two toddlers, who are being cared for by ex-husband Kevin Federline during her first worldwide tour in five years.
No doubt Britney was eager to make the most of their quality time together, lavishing her boys with kisses and cuddles throughout the afternoon.
"Britney looked like she didn't have a care in the world," said an onlooker.
"She seemed happy and relaxed like any other young mom. Her boys obviously adore spending quality time with her and she couldn't get enough of them either. She looked amazing in her bikini, it's obvious she's put a lot of work into getting fit and it's paying off."
Over the last few days, Britney and Kevin have been playing happy families for the sake of the kids while staying at the same luxury hotel in Disney World, Orlando.
The party - which also includes Britney's teenage sister Jamie-Lynn and mom Lynne Spears - jetted into Miami on Monday ahead of Britney's next gig in New York later this week.
