Britney Spears kicks off her
Circus tour tonight in New Orleans but she's already getting rave reviews after a secret show last night in Louisiana. Performing for 50 VIP's, the "Womanizer" singer performed several of her greatest hits and showed off her her big-top themed costumes, even swinging in the air with the help of a trapeze artist.
The performance went so well, that there are rumors that Madonna is thinking of making several surprise appearances during the tour.
Britney recently made a surprise on stage appearance at the Los Angeles stop of Madonna's
Hard Candy tour so is the "Material Girl" going to return the favor?

Comeback queen Britney Spears has been unveiled as the new face of Candie's, following the likes of
Heroes' starlet Hayden Panettiere! The company made the announcement just a day before Britney kicked off her eagerly-awaited first tour, and we got a chance to see Britney behind the scenes for the photoshoot. The Candie's site announces the "2009 Candie's Girl" and reveals an image of Brit from her
Circus album cover.
Britney said in a statement: "It's great to work with a line that has such cool clothes and accessories." Do you think this was a smart move by Britney, and furthermore, do you think it's going to be successful?

Britney Spears has arrived in New Orleans ahead of her tour with sons Jayden James and Sean Preston in tow. Kicking off tomorrow night, this is Brit Brit's first tour in 5 years and despite an incredible amount of interest and press, there are still a lot of unsold tickets.
"Group sales are down considerably," says one person close to the
production, "and then you've got individual tickets that cost as much
as $500 apiece. That's a lot of money to spend on an artist who isn't a
sure bet right now."
These are tough times economically but can you really pass up a chance to see Britney perform? If she puts on the show of a lifetime or she bombs, you win either way.
Besides, with K-Fed
eating his way through his alimony/child support, Britney might need a few extra bucks.

Britney Spears' former lover Adnan Ghalib could be spending some serious time behind bars. The flavor-savor sporting paparazzo has been charged with three felony counts stemming from a hit-and-run that occurred last month.
The 36-year-old paparazzi photographer
has been slapped with assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit-and-run after he allegedly ran over a process server employed by the conservatorship that oversees Britny Spears.
The incident occured while Britney's ex was being served with a
temporary restraining order obtained by the pop star's father. Ghalib
then allegedly drove his vehicle at the victim, who jumped on the hood
of the car and hung on before being thrown off. He suffered a broken
wrist, and other injuries.
The Los Angeles Distric Attorney is asking for bail to be set at $110,000 and if convicted, could face up to seven years in prison.

Britney Spears' former aide Sam Lutfi has debts of over $25,000 these court papers show.
Lutfi, who
earlier this week took legal action against Spears' parents for "ruining his reputation," is facing foreclosure on his home after racking up arrears of more than $18,000.
And another set of court documents show that a U.S. Bank has filed legal action against Spears' former manager for unpaid credit card bills totaling over $7,000.
Bosses at debt collection agency Best Alliance have issued a lien on Lutfi's Los Angeles home, meaning they have a security interest over his property to secure the payment of the debt owed.
As from November 10, 2008 the papers say the amount owed is $18,507.58, with that amount rising until the account is in credit.
If the money is not paid by February 10, Lutfi's home could be repossessed and forced into foreclosure.
As well as the possibility of losing his property, Discover Bank filed a civil case against Lutfi on January 21, 2009 for failing to pay his credit card bill of $7,966.98.
Lutfi, 34, recently filed papers at the Los Angeles Superior Court against Jamie and Lynne Spears, after they alleged he leaked false information about his conduct to the press.
Only last week Britney Spears was granted a
temporary restraining order against Lutfi, ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and attorney Jon Eardley after it was alleged that they were tring to subvert the the conservatorship in charge of her finances and life.
