Christina Ricci is engaged! The petite Hollywood starlet and her comedian boyfriend Owen Benjamin's plans have been confirmed by her rep. Ricci met Benjamin on the set of their film
All's Faire in Love last year and went public with their relationship in October.
They were recently spotted cozying up at the Nobu West Hollywood's one-year anniversary party last week, and this is just perfect timing, since they've been looking so cozy and all. Ricci told Tatler way back in '07 that she was ready to "settle down," though she was worried about the fuss of a wedding.
"I just want to be married, or just engaged," she said. Basically, I just want a ring. And the tax break." Ooooh. Romantic?

After
trekking through Los Feliz together, Christina Ricci and her (giant) boyfriend Owen Benjamin were spotted walking hand-in-hand in West Hollywood after a romantic meal. Since we've seen Owen twice this week towering over Miss Ricci, I double-checked his height, and he comes in at a whopping 6' 6". Christina, seen here in her full-on denims and sunnies, happens to be a petite 5' 1".
It looks like these two lovebirds have started dressing like each other-- check out their feet!

Christina Ricci took to countryside trails with Owen Benjamin in Los Feliz, California, and she managed to squeak out a smile as they set off on their Monday afternoon hike!
Even though Christina's said that she
feels safe with the paparazzi around, I'm not sure that her small band of snappers were quite as useful in the great outdoors-- especially since she was out with her positively giant beau and a scrappy dog to boot. Regardless, the petite actress still looked amused by the attention she was getting, and then she headed off for the rest of her low-key workout.

Actress Christina Ricci has admitted that she feels safe knowing the paparazzi are tracking her every move, because they are like her unofficial bodyguards.
"I feel safe with them around," she commented. "It is weird that every day there's going to be two guys parked outside your house and they're going to go shopping with you, and they're going to go to the gas station with you."
"But I kind of think of it as, if anyone ever tried to mug me or attack me, I'd be like, 'Listen, there are two guys back there who I am pretty sure would kick your ass in exchange for a posed photo.'" (Um, thanks?) Ricci, 29, told the Tonight Show With Jay Leno that the "paps" once helped her remove a snake from her driveway that she almost stepped on.
Yes, we can be very useful. . . another good one is rescuing celebs who have run out of gas and letting them borrow cash if they turn up short. ;)

When Splash spied Christina Ricci entering the Chanel store in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon we (somewhat meanly) thought she was a little under dressed for a visit to a designer store.
Though we readily admit, if she was in London or NYC we wouldn't have battered an eyelid, so perhaps we've just been brainwashed by all the smartly dressed and tanned Los Angeles stars. You know, the Victoria Beckham type clan.
Sorry Ricci - keep rocking your converse!
