You'd think since Courteney Cox Arquette would have better provisions against the prying eyes of the paparazzi, but that isn't the case-- or at least John Mayer hasn't realized where the best places are to stand on his new friend's beach house deck.
John and Jennifer Aniston swung by the Malibu spot this weekend, where they met other friends like the one pictured above embracing John. He did his best to slink past the photogs, but one of them caught him out in the open. A thanks from Splash for making our job a heck of a lot easier!

Courtney Cox stepped out last night and made her weekly jaunt to her favorite restaurant, Nobu in Malibu. She had been joined by three friends and was inside for two and a half hours before leaving for home. As she left, the 'Dirt' star didn't look too pleased when the photographers turned up to pap her without any makeup. Although she appeared a little tired, her skin still looked pretty fresh for a woman in her forties.

Wow, in all my time at Splash, I have never seen Courteney Cox throw the cameras a truly genuine smile. But yesterday, the paps got a rare treat. The usually stern and quiet actress openly chatted with the awaiting snappers, as she exited from The Melrose cafe. She even joked that she no longer dined at Il Sole because she "was trying to get away from you guys". Unluckily, no one managed to notice Courteney's bruise in time, so we missed out the mystery behind her painful looking mark.

Actress Courteney Cox looked stunning as she arrived at the Late Show with David Letterman to promote the second series of her hit show Dirt. Shielded from the rain by umbrella's, she shared a rare smile with the cameras. Unfortunately for the waiting fans, they didn't have a waiting crew on side to keep them dry and looked a little worse for wear when the star finally showed.
During her interview she revealed the green-eyed monster got the better of her hubby David Arquette as he watched her shoot a love scene. Arquette tried to direct the former 'Friends' star in an upcoming episode of her show 'Dirt' but ended up running off set when he watched her kiss her co-star.
In 'Dirt' Courteney plays sexy tabloid editor Lucy Spiller, who isn't afraid to use sex to get a good story, but Cox admitted it was all a bit too much for the star's real life jealous husband. Cox told Letterman:
"It was interesting. David is very awkward; he's a strange bird. When he directed me he was great and it was probably one of my favourite episodes but I had to kiss this guy [co-star] Danny Comden. David said in the scene, 'You're going to open the fortune cookie an go in for the kiss.
He said, 'Action!' And I leant over to kiss Danny and I hear, 'Cut!' I was like David I didn't ... and he said 'Sorry, that was my bad - let's do it again.' So he goes, 'Action,' and I lean in for the kiss and, 'Cut.'"
Cox said she tried explaining to her husband that the scene was just part of the script. She told her husband:
"David, Lucy Spiller, my character, she actually makes-out with people, she needs to kiss. It's just what my character does - she's very racy. David said 'Ok, sorry.' So then he goes 'Action,' and I went in for the kiss and now we are kissing.
But now it's getting awkward because we are kissing too long and it's uncomfortable - he's uncomfortable, I'm uncomfortable, it's too much kissing. Then I hear, 'Cut.' And it's this high voice."
Cox sad she turned around to see one of the female assistants behind the camera. "David had left - he couldn't take it," she said.
