While online communities revel in their profits, it looks like the pen market are bricking themselves, so much so, makers Sharpie are willing to blow their advertisement budget on the whimsical hope that David Beckham's face alone can have people swapping email for paper, faster than Posh can pull a pout.
Splash spied the L.A Galaxy star on location in Los Angeles this week. In a blue shirt and a grey waistcoat combo, the hunky player looked to be enjoying the company of kids on his latest ad campaign. The TV spot, set to air in early July, shows suave Beckham using a Sharpie to autograph a variety of unusual items for fans (I'm sure it won't include half of the things he has actually been asked to sign).

Last night New York City came alive with a strange and wonderful scene of elaborately dressed celebrities, in what could be hailed as the biggest bash to date this year. Gowns, jewels and tailored suits arrived in their droves to help the Metropolitan Museum celebrate it's Gala Benefit Salute The Power Of Superhereos and Fantasy Imagery In Fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Predictably Victoria and David Beckham proved to be the most popular couple on the red carpet, as their chiseled cheek bones easily over shadowed Jennifer Lopez's new mummy tummy and Scarlet Johansson's chubby right finger (she's engaged if you haven't heard).
Worryingly Victoria looked more vacant on the red carpet than usual and her comedy trout pout was replaced by a harsher smackering of Cruella De Vil red lipstick. Perhaps Posh was taking her fantasy character too far?

After a busy shopping schedule with wife Victoria Beckham, David Beckham's mum made sure she spent some quality time with her boys. Splash spotted the hunky Galaxy player as left after a relaxing dinner at Benihanna in Beverly Hills last night. Eager to miss the cameras perhaps, they came and went through a back of the restaurant, and safe Beckham made sure he posted security at all the entrances.
But the real news comes from elsewhere. As David Beckham made a stunning revelation on the Ellen Degeneres Show! After losing out to a strip kick challenge (yes that shirt came off), blushing Beck's was happy to answer questions about family life, confirming that he is trying for another baby with Posh! (I tell you it's something in the L.A air, they are all breeding!)
"We're working on it," said Becks. "We're very family oriented so we always wanted a big family which was weird because when we first got together we never even discussed how many children we wanted. But it's worked out that we want a big family and we love kids so it's worked out perfect."

David Beckham and his gorgeous sons, Romeo and Brooklyn, looked like an adorable family unit yesterday as they supported the Lakers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. David, who was minus wife Victoria and youngest son Cruz, effortlessly smouldered court-side while he doted on his boys with fatherly cuddles. Romeo in particular appeared to be a daddies boy as he constantly hung on to Beckham's side, even when his dad jokingly gave him a noogie!

When I rolled into the Splash office this morning and saw this gorgeous set of the Beckhams celebrating Victoria's 34th birthday, it dawned on me that this couple have achieved a lot for their age. Posh is only 8 years older than myself and at such a tender age she has already toured the world, squeezed out three perfect children, married a famous footballer and created a Beckham empire full of fashion, houses and advertisements.
It's also warming to see that Victoria chose to celebrate her turning of age with a low key family affair. Although she couldn't lose the presence of the media, the gang still enjoyed some much needed quality time together. The boys (Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz) would have been happy too, as mum chose Pink Taco in Century City as the venue.
