It wasn't all fun and games at what was supposed to be a friendly exhibition match between the LA Galaxy and AC Milan.

But the beef wasn't between players.

David Beckham lost his cool after spotting several signs in the audience calling him a "fraud" and telling him to "go home."

But what started all the anger?

The footballer has fallen out of favor with his California fans after he opted to return to Europe to play for AC Milan on loan following his $250 million contract with the LA Galaxy.

While on loan, he publicly stated a desire to stay with the Italian team angering his SoCal supporters. 

At one point, Bekham began exchanging words with one spectator and had to be restrained by secutiry as he tried to jump over the barrier.

Not even an assist could quiet the jeers as he left the field.

Soccer star David Beckham has said that his family's happiness will determine how long he stays in the US. The 34-year-old was talking just before his match with LA Galaxy after missing half of the MLS season playing for Italian powerhouse AC Milan.

"The biggest thing is my family, [whether] my family are happy. I've been away from them for six-and-a-half months and I've missed them, so I'm happy to be back."

The football star also admitted that he was looking forward to returning to the LA Galaxy and said that he had no reason to apologize to his fans.

"I think what you've see is that I've been very dedicated to Galaxy, dedicated to the fans. It's important that people realize I am here to play for this team. I am contracted to play for this team and, at the moment, that's the most important thing."
