"Training Day" star Denzel Washington was spotted by Splash photographers stepping out with his wife, Pauletta, in New York. The couple were seen out for at a late lunch at Nellos. The Academy Award winning actor was dressed in sports clothes and holding a ball, whilst Paulletta looked bright in yellow. Denzel and Pauletta were married in 1983 and they have four children together.
The 53 year old actor is currently working with a production of "The Taking of Pelham 123", a thriller novel that has already been made into 2 previous films. Washington will be starring with John Travolta and James Gandolfini in the action film slated for release on July 31, 2009.

It's actually surprising to see Denzel Washington in Saint Tropez in his tourist garb (check out the white sneakers). Even though he's a family guy and all, I always imagine that Saint Tropez is 100% glam. I blame Kimora Lee Simmons!
Denzel was here to dispel my misconception-- permanently-- by hanging around and waiting for the fam to just. stop. shopping and get on with it. Yeah, I know how he feels.

It was a bit of a 'guys thing' at the Industry Premiere of Russell Crowe's new movie "American Gangster" in Hollywood last night. Olivier Martinez, Jeremy Piven, Denzel Washington and Mel (Malibu) Gibson were some of the attendees.
The Premiere reminded me of a report I read from Entertainment Weekly where Crowe admitted to spitting on co-star Denzel Washington's face. "We met on one of those big ass stages at Paramount," he said. "We had to do a scene where there's a piece of cyclone wire fencing between us. I had to be really rabid and weird, and on the first take I'm working myself up a bit and a bit of spit comes out of my mouth."
"It weaves itself neatly through the fencing and lands right on Denzel's lip. A glob of white f**king spit just sitting right there. The thing is, he just kept on doing the scene. At the end they say 'Cut' and he's looking at me and the spit's still sitting there. He goes 'I love the taste of warm saliva in the morning'."
Nice. That sounds like my worst nightmare.

Denzel Washington says he refused to have an on-screen smooch with Julia Roberts because he did not want to upset his African-American female fans but could the truth really be, he just didn't want to suck face with Roberts?
