She's not just a pretty face.
Eva Longoria Parker has decided to go back to school and recently enrolled at C
al State Northridge in California.
The 34-year-old actress will be working towards her Masters in Chicano Studies and Political Science.
"Because of my involvement with the National Council of La
Raza (civil rights group) and my charity work, I really wanted a
better, more authentic understanding of what my community has gone
through so I can help create change."
But don't think this means the end of Desperate Housewives:
"Now I've got classes, books and homework to do in addition to learning my lines."
You go, girl!

Eva Longoria Parker showed off her summer tan as she arrived at Beso in West Hollywood to announce the 2009 NCLR ALMA Award Nominees.
Longoria Parker was decked out head-to-toe in the very SoCal color.
Better wear those white shoes while you can, Eva!

Eva Longoria Parker is set to expand her business empire with a new restaurant in Las Vegas and a chain of airport eateries.
The Desperate Housewives star is proving her entrepreneurial chops with the success of her restaurant Beso - 'kiss' in Spanish - in Hollywood.
Now she is set to open a second venue in Las Vegas - along with a lounge called Eve - and said she is "so excited".
The 34-year-old said: "Vegas has the most energy in the world. It's a foodie city, which is great for us because of our menu. Everything we offer is pretty unique. Nobody in Vegas has anything similar."
But the expansion does not stop there - Longoria is also launching a series of small-scale versions of the restaurant at airports, starting with Los Angeles.
They will be called Besitos, which means 'little kisses' in Spanish.
Longoria said she is a hands-on businesswoman and will be traveling regularly to Las Vegas to oversee the new venue.
"I'm a big fan of the art of cuisine. I love to cook and I love to entertain, so I feel like this is just an extension of me," she said.

We caught up with Eva Longoria-Parker and hubby, Tony Parker as they took in the sights, smells, and sounds of gay Paris.
The strolled around on their scooter with Tony's family bringing in the back end of their scooter brigade. Check out Eva's shoes. We don't think those are safe scooter wear, but they are very fashionable!
