Eva Mendes jetted out of New York on her way to Los Angeles. I never thought I'd say this, but. . . I'm getting a little jealous of the people who work in the airports right now. I never thought I would say that, but she's looking stunning and fun. Grabbing an autograph wouldn't have been a bad thing. Eva traipsed through the airport wearing so-not-flying-friendly boots this weekend. I wonder if she was happy to get back to the LA weather?

Eva Mendes' yearbook photos have fascinated me. Someone dug up shots of her from Toll Middle School and Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, California, and I'm glad they did. I'm impressed. Usually those "pre famous" shots are scary, but Eva looks pretty cute here. And she gets bonus points for rocking '80s hair and *almost* not looking stupid. Now me? I have hidden my yearbook far away. Yes, my photos were really that bad, and yes, I DID grow out of it. Still, it looks like Eva bypassed much of the awkward teen year. Lucky!

It has got to be difficult to be a star and be in rehab, just to be foisted back off into the world of parties again. After all, Eva always seemed pretty grounded to me, so I was surprised in the first place. . . I hope her treatment has worked wonders and she's good to go for a round of amazing Pre-Oscars bashes! Splash caught up with her leaving the Beverly Hills event looking like it was definitely time to go home. I can't remember the last time I've seen Eva looking this ruffled.

After a quick trip to Los Angeles to attend to some personal matters Eva Mendes is back to Utah and the Cirque Lodge to resume her treatment. The reason for Mendes' trip to rehab has not been disclosed but if I had to venture a guess, I'd have to say she secretly strangles kittens. Or it's drugs. But I'm leaning towards the kitten thing. If reports surfacing in the US are true, Eva Mendes is now out of rehab and back home in Los Angeles. Did she high five Kirsten Dunst on the way out? Life & Style have reported Eva left Utah's Cirque Lodge clinic earlier in the day and boarded a flight back to L.A. It's belived the star spent a number of weeks at the rehab center, that has also seen stars such as Lindsay Lohan and Mary Kate Olsen. Eva Mendes spokesman had the following to say: "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much needed time off to attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support."
