Madonna wasted no time in whipping out her favorite asset as she celebrated her 50th birthday over the weekend. A healthy amount of toned thigh action and gold made sure the singer defied any stereotypes surrounding her age. 

The night started as Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie left their Mayfair home at around 10pm on route to the exclusive Volstead club. Shortly after their departure, Lourdes, Rocko and baby David arrived at the night club through the back door. 

At around 11.30pm, the children left the club via the front door and returned home. Meanwhile Madonna stayed on to dance with her tour friends and family. It's believed Guy ended the night by presenting his wife with a love letter, stating he is prepared to support her through another adoption.

That would explain the huge smile across the pop sensations face as she left the  club arm-in-arm and possibly a little worse for wear at around 1am. Guy took his usual spot clutching Madonna's pulsing muscles, as she beamed in the flashbulbs while her present were loading into her car.

As Madonna approaches her 50th birthday, it appears Guy Ritchie has quiet a present in store for his domineering wife. A brand new baby girl. 

Reports suggest the gym addict has relentlessly tried to pressure her director husband into adopting another baby and as a gesture of Guy's newly found devotion for his marriage, he has agreed to finally bow to her decision. 

It's believed Madonna is hoping to adopt a three year old girl from Malawi, the same birth place as baby David. The young toddler, known as Mercy James, may be soon leaving her home for a new life with singer, as the Malawian adoption minister has confirmed the paper work is in an advanced state.

Madonna and Guy continue to show the world that they are trying to get on with life as best they can, despite the constant media presence. As their children enjoyed a day out at a Central Park Fair yesterday, Madonna enjoyed a meeting with Guy Oseary and Mr Ritchie spent the day coming and going from their Manhattan apartment, constantly surrounded by bodyguards. No one was short on smiles, so for now, things look okay. I kind of understand wearing leggings or pantyhose (is it still called pantyhose?) underneath skirts and shorts but what the hell is up with only wearing ones that go to the knees? And what's the deal with wearing black tights with white shorts?

And why does it look like her ulna and radius bones* are trying to escape her forearms? I've seen skeletons in 1000-year-old crypts that have sexier arms.

*That's basically all I remember after dropping out of medical school. That and when you ask "Can I take your temperature?," you're expected to take their temperature. With a thermometer.

Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie put on a show of unity last night as they stepped out together in New York. The couple shrugged off rumors linking Madonna to New York Yankee star Alex Rodriguez as they walked hand in hand on a night out.

The couple were forced to deny their seven-year marriage is on the rocks after reports emerged about the friendship between the Material Girl and star slugger A-Rod. Neither Madonna, 49, or Ritchie, 39, were wearing their wedding rings as they dined out at Italian restaurant Cesca on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
