And now, Kate speaks: "Did you know it was a ring on my right hand? I'm like, 'Why would I respond...if you're going to lie about something ridiculous?'"

Simon Cowell showed his generous side by donating over $150,000 to help save the life of a cancer stricken toddler.
Cowell has reported donated the money for 18-month old Sophie Atay to fly from the UK to the US for a treatment in New York.
He acted after learning that her family launched a last-ditch appeal for money to pay for the treatment last week after they were told Sophie was suffering from a rare form of cancer and that she needed treatment, fast.
Alexandra Burke--last years X-Factor UK winner--broke the news to Sophie's mom, Karine on the phone that Simon will be picking up the tab.
Alex told the Daily Mail: "Karine didn't know what I was going to tell her when I called her. So when I broke the news we were both crying. I'd told Simon about the situation and there was no time to waste because Sophie needs the treatment immediately, and he decided in a second that he would donate the money."
Don't you just love those types of stories??

Up and coming actress Dakota Fanning was named homecoming princess by her California high school.
The Twilight star, who rubs
shoulders with Rob Pattinson and the hot young cast of the vampire
series, performed with her cheerleading squad at a football game in
Encino before she was named homecoming princess by her North Hollywood
high school.
She was bestowed a tiara and flowers by the
Campbell Hall Episcopal High School. She smiled widely and donned her
tiara with a football player on her arm, according to one report.
This is just more proof that Fanning is the most adorable star in Hollywood right now.

There's nothing better than Scotch and coke in the morning, eh, Kiefer??
The 24 star generously bought drinks for the show's crew after the hardworking bunch wrapped filming an episode that took them all through the night.
The party started at The Spot bar in San Pedro, CA around 7 a.m. and went well into the afternoon.
So what was the total damage?
A $500 bill--which Kiefer picked up for the whole bar--plus a hefty $200 tip.
Not bad for the morning bar rush.

In a bizarre plea deal, these two
women have agreed to hold up signs admitting to their crimes in
exchange for no jail time.
Both 56-year-old Evelyn Border and
35-year-old Tina Griekspoor stood outside a Pennsylvania courthouse for
four-and-a-half hours on Tuesday brandishing signs that read: "I stole
from a 9-year-old girl on her birthday! Don't steal or this could
happen to you!"
The women admitted to stealing a giftcard from the
nine-year-old child after she left it on a shelf in a WalMart store.
Because the women agreed to hold the signs, Bedford County District
Attorney Bill Higgins says he'll ask for probation instead of jail when
they plead guilty to the theft.
The girl's mother said she planned to
drive by the Bedford County courthouse to teach her daughter the
importance of obeying the law.
