Pixie Geldof made every effort to be noticed at last nights 2008 British Fashion Awards by making a larger than life entrance. The model, with her blonde crop and flawless features, succeeded in avoiding London's present chill by choosing to wear what can only be described as a Monsters Inc special.
Throughout the night Pixie could be seen enjoying a cigarette with Channel 4's Frock Me presenter, Henry Holland, while in her fluffy gray/green ensemble. She briefly revealed her full outfit for the media on the red carpet, which comprised of a black pant suit, a chain mail inspired vest, a head band and a pair of risky stripper heels. The British Fashion Awards was held at Lawrence Hall in London.

Singer Anastacia proved you didn't have to be British or one of London's hip young socialites to attend the 2008 British Fashion awards last night. The singer, who has recently returned to the lime light with a new album, looked stunning a fitted and patterned black dress.
And while the fashion elite may have been a bit short on attendance, the following worthies still graced the carpet with their presence; singer and Rimmel model Sophie Ellis Bextor, Alex James from brit pop band Blur, former underwear designer Sadie Frost, Jade Jagger, models Erin O'Connor and Claudia Schiffer. Presenter and Artic Monkeys girlfriend groupie Alexa Chung, Alice Dellal, Twiggy and Carly Lawson, socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, David Furnish, actor Christian Slater, swimmer Mark Foster and designer Lulu Guinness.

The Jonas Brothers are at it again! The popular brothers are getting mobbed by tons of ladies, and this is just another example of how their life can be oddly sweet from time to time. The famous brothers stopped at Disney World's 'California World of Adventures' to greet their public and then sat down for a big book signing amidst the screeching.
Nicole Kidman took time out from promoting her new movie to speak at the United Nations headquarters today. The star of Australia was speaking out against violence against women and announcing that over five million people had signed the Internet-based petition in solidarity.
Melanie Reed of The Times Onlinedescribes her performance in Baz Luhrmann's epic as a "porcelain doll, looking frozen, brittle and vapid, staring at the camera with her oh-golly-look-how-I'm-looking-interesting blue eyes."
I would normally agree with Kidman's listless acting but I think it was all for a greater good. She was saving her entire repertoire of facial movements and range of emotional expression to convey the very important message of stopping violence against women.
Seriously, click through the pictures below. You haven't seen her face move this much since BMX Bandits.
