Jennifer Aniston, who wor
e a Valentino gown with Jimmy Choo heels, finally came face to face with love rival Angelina Jolie for the first time in public.
The former
Friends star bravely chose to present two awards at the Academy Awards
despite knowing that Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt would be sitting just yards away in the front row of the crowd.
As Aniston, 40, took part in a comedy routine with actor Jack Black, Jolie could be seen laughing along to their routine.
Millions of viewers watched nervously as Aniston calmly presented the awardss despite Hollywood's number one power couple looking on. One onlooker said;
Jen was on stage for more than five minutes and she must have felt like the eyes of the world were on her and her ex-husband's new lover. The cameras then flashed again to Brad and Angelina and he looked slightly uncomfortable. He was stroking his face and smiling with the rest of the crowd.
Jolie was nominated in the Best Actress category alongside Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet and Melissa Leo.

Well folks, actress Jennifer Aniston has finally reached the mile stone she so dreaded. The famously gorgeous Friends actress will today wake up and admire her age defying face and no doubtably smile at all her achievements, but not before beau John Mayer has sung his little heart out. Yes people, reports in the US have hinted that singer John has penciled a birthday song for his now 40-year-old girlfriend. Aww!

John Mayer has opened up about "sleepovers" at girlfriend Jennifer Aniston's high-tech California home.
The singer, who is dating the soon-to-be-40
Friends star, lifted the lid while being quizzed by US TV talk show host
Ellen DeGeneres;
"There is no normal thing in the Aniston house. You won't find a light switch. The light switch is antiquated. There is a six-button light panel. It does everything. The top button is on and the button right below that one seems to be an air horn, so in the middle of the night, it [can be] very difficult [to sleep]."
Aniston also gets confused by her futuristic-style home according to Mayer.
"The other day, I'm like, 'This is the most beautiful kitchen of all time. Where is the trash?', [she] didn't know where the trash was." Host DeGeneres then puts Mayer on the spot, asking him if he ever spends the night.
"Yeah, there are sleepovers, yeah," he says. "Yes, yes, there are."

When Marie Claire magazine asked a gaggle of girls, who just happened to be close co-stars, to talk about love and ex-boyfriends in conjunction with their latest movie release, He's Just Not That Into You, it almost seemed inevitable that Jennifer Aniston would find herself mentioning her ex Brad Pitt.
During the interview, 40-year-old Jen happily admitted to keeping some of her old messages from her marriage to Brad. But before any Angelina fans scream 'stalker,' she also added she has done the same with every relationship!
"I still have the cassette tapes of messages from my first boyfriend, my second boyfriend, my husband...it's like saving love letters."

Jennifer Aniston ditched any red carpet dresses in favor of a more masculine presence at the premiere of He's Just Not That Into You last night. The stunning actress chose to stick to her favorite color, black, by parading for the press in this Burberry suit. Perhaps as one of more "older" ladies of the night, she felt more secure in this classic style.
Meanwhile her on/off beau John Mayer has been entertaining the fans and media alike by posting messages on his Twitter account. One saying he was busy "welding an engagement ring for my girlfriend." Bless.

It seems not a day can go by without John Mayer being accused of cheating on girlfriend(?) Jennifer Aniston. In Touch have revealed sources close to them who saw the singer enjoying a cozy date with a mystery woman in Santa Monica two days ago. An insider told the magazine;
"They were obviously on a date. He came in with her another time too and I've seen them out together. He gave her a long kiss before they left. John has been here six times in the last two weeks but never with Jen."
What do you think is going on? Were John and Jen ever in a real relationship? Could they have been together merely for the promotional value it gave Marley & Me, Jennifer's latest movie? Or is John Mayer just an outright scum bag?
