Jennifer Lopez is competing in the 2008 Nautica Malibu Triathalon and appeared on ABC's Good Morning America today to talk about how she was inspired to enter the grueling 22.5 mile event.
Jennifer Lopez appeared on ABC's Good Morning America in full workout gear  in Central Park. Lopez has been in triathlon training to raise money for a charity.

"The idea came up when I was about eight months' pregnant when I was beached like a whale. I was watching TV and I saw a triathlon, and I said, 'I think I could do that. 'That would be great for me to do. Maybe I could do that this year.' And of course everybody told me I was crazy."

Lopez is being assisted in her training by Self Magazine editor Lucy Danzinger and is going to attempt to swim a half mile, bike 18-miles, and run 4-miles on September 14th. She is raising money for the Children's Hospital here in Los Angeles and you can help by donating at Self.com as well as get updates on her progress.

Jennifer Lopez is appearing on the cover of Self magazine, who have made the singer and actress one of their Ten Most Inspiring Women. The "Out Of Sight" actress talked about diverse subjects such as having children, training for a triathlon and setting up her own charity.

Lopez and husband Marc Anthony welcomed their twins to the world in February 2008. However, it seems Max and Emme are keeping their famous parents busy. Lopez has decided not to hire a nanny so that she can feel closer to her children. She has also decided to compete in a triathlon and is being trained by Gunnar Peterson. The singer said she put on 50 pounds carrying her children and had managed to lose most of her baby weight, saying that she is now only 15-20 pounds more than she would like to be.

The actress also explained how she is planning on setting up a new charity for women and children, after being inspired by projects such as Make-A-Wish and Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Lopez told the magazine: At this time in my life, with my babies and husband and home, everything feels complete to me. But I do feel like there's something left undone".

Also in Self magazine's list of Ten Most Inspiring Women were Gwen Stefani, Reese Witherspoon and Hillary Clinton.

Yay for "parent time"-- I'm sure Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony need it, even though it looks like Mama Lopez has been making Marc do his share of the work. I have a feeling that  J Lo does push Marc out of bed to check on their five-month old twins. . . she looks like she's been getting a little beauty rest.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are continuing their hyper-romantic strolls of Europe. . . this time they were seen taking it to the water in Portofino, Italy. As if I weren't already jealous enough, the two were spotted palling around with Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, and were snapped her hopping aboard their boat here for a leisurely trip around the ocean.

These two are really making the most of Marc's end-of-tour free time.

It appears that Jennifer Lopez is going to have her day in court, whether she likes it or not. Ex-boyfriend P Diddy (Sean Combs) is being sued for $130 million (along with jailbird Jamal Barrow), by Natania Reuben. Reuben was shot in the face during the 1999 NY club shooting incident that saw Combs eventually cleared of illegal possession of a gun and bribery. J-Lo has been issued with a subpoena to give a deposition about what happened that night. 

No doubt the singer can use this event to influence her next album, as she tends to allow life incidents to do so. Expect "Courthouse Curses" in 2009 with tracks such as "Interfere With My Life)", "This Wig Is Mine" and "No Tengo Dinero (Pero Tengo Trasero)".

When asked to comment, Marc Anthony was busy on the phone to his brother, the Count from Sesame Street.
