I see a lot of stories about celebrities day in and day out, but never once have I heard that supermodel Helena Christensen and hunk Josh Hartnett were dating! Did you? But any excitement surrounding these two is short lived as Helena has reportedly split from her Hollywood boy toy within the last few weeks. Helena, 39, and Josh, 29, had been dating for a year and were even seen furniture shopping together last month. But now sources told the New York Daily News that the couple split "within the last week", failing to say what tore them apart. Danish beauty Helena and "30 Days of Night" star Josh had been friends for years before becoming romantic in spring 2007. Helena is said to have tried to set-up Josh with another friend, Rosario Dawson, but Josh boldly told the supermodel he would much rather date her. Some of the more regular readers will be aware I'm a huge Josh Hartnett fan. So much so, I hound our NYC Picture Editor for regular 'Josh updates'. So, you can correctly assume I was pretty pleased to see these great shots of the Black Hawk Down actor in Greenwich Village this morning. Having just return from a trip to Utah (for the Sundance Film Festival) Josh was spied in a cosy jacket, scarf and cheesy white sunglasses on route to a cafe for perhaps a much needed caffeine hit. So who have we spotted over the last 24 hours, apart from the already mentioned Mischa Barton and Adrian Grenier. Well, best snap of the day goes to Charlize Theron, who sizzled her way through the crowds of waiting fans. Her cute hat perched perfectly on her chic bob, as she warmly sighned autographs in a stunning pair of black high heeled boots. (Did she not see the wheather forecast?). For crying out loud, my day was going so well until this moment! Silly 'umbrella' lady Rihanna, has ruined my day by admitting that she IS more than friends with my Josh Hartnett. Previously the singer had kept quiet about Josh, even though they had been linked since October, but at the World Music Awards she spilled the beans. "I would be lying if I told you we were not more than just friends. He is so hot and is really sweet to me. When we hang out it feels right - even though it's still pretty new. It's no secret that Anna and I adore Diane Kruger, and here's yet another reason why: we caught her looking fantastic with Josh Hartnett at the GQ Man of the Year Awards Ceremony in Munich, Germany yesterday. Her purse is relatively understated, her dress is tasteful (that's actually pretty hard to come by) and her red lips are unexpected. Which brings us to another point-- why is it so hard to identify celebrity profiles? I did another double-take with Diane today, kind of like Carrie Underwood earlier.
